Mistina Hanscom attended the Brooks Institute of Photography in 2002. In 2005, while working for David LaChapelle, Mistina's saturated theatrical visions began to form. She has an eye for making reality a theatrical event without compromising her subjects true identity. An artistic alchemy occurs that melds her technical skill behind the camera and her imagination with the infinite possibilities of digital post production. Mistina calls her shots "a look through the keyhole at a family's life in their safe zone".
