Description:
The New Haven Free Public Library and local artist Rashmi are teaming up for Celebrate New Haven: A Collaborative City-Wide Photo Collage, a community art project open to the public that will be on display at all five library locations.Participants are invited to submit photographs of the City of New Haven and all its neighborhoods that will be used as elements in the larger co-created collages. Each neighborhood is going to create its own community mural composed of photos taken and submitted by library users and New Haven residents. Each library will create two 2’ x 5.4’collages, one of which will remain on display in the local library while the other will be a part of a larger 5-part installation that will live at the Ives Main Library representing the whole New Haven Free Public Library and its neighborhoods.
