Elm Shakespeare Company presents the 22nd Season of Free Shakespeare in the Park with Shakespeare's iconic tale of doomed love, The Tragedy of Romeo & Juliet, directed by Raphael Massie. Performances run Aug 17 -Sep 3, Tues-Sun at 8pm Edgerton Park, located at 75 Cliff Street off Whitney Avenue in New Haven at the Hamden border. There are several entrances - Edgehill Road, opposite Edgehill Terrace, and on Cliff Street and our performances are located on the Great Lawn in the center of the park. Street parking available on Cliff Street & Edgehill Rd. Handicap parking available inside the park. Bring your own lawn chairs or blankets to set up on the grass. Blanket Only Seating - The section closest to the stage is reserved for blankets only. Picnics & merriment begin at 6:30.
