Bluegrass At BEKI
In tribute to the late Stacy Phillips, his band, The Bluegrass Characters, will continue the tradition of their annual December 24thshow. Although Phillips died after a heart attack in early June, The Bluegrass Characters have continued to perform. This performance will include Betsy Rome on vocals and flat top guitar; Phil Zimmerman on mandolin; Rick Brodsky on bass; Jerry Oland on banjo; and Sofia Chiarandini, one of Stacy's favorite students, on fiddle. The performance will be at Beth El - Keser Israel in New Haven, as it was last year. The doors will open at 7 PM on Monday, December 24, and the music will begin at 7:30 PM.
