BYOB. A food truck of some sort is in the works. Event is free, but a tip jar will be on hand to cover some of the costs our volunteers incur. This is your cue, we are looking for presenters. If you are anything like us (and who wouldn’t want to be like us), you might be thinking, sigh. Winter. Cold, wet feet. Snow to shovel. Chill seeping to the bone. Gray days. Everything starts to slow us down… But have no fear. Winter can’t stop our vibe! Creativity + community = warmth—and we all need some of that. We are putting some fresh batteries into this PechaKucha New Haven, baby! This is how we know you care. You present. You find a friend to present. Remember, without presenters we just have a random bearded guy rambling. So we definitely need you. At the heart of a PechaKucha night is community + creativity, and everyone has a little of that. The format of a PechaKucha talk is simple. You have 20 slides automatically advancing every 20 seconds while you talk or sing or, even dance. Your call. We will supply the supporting crowd hungry for your words and images about your ideas, your work, your poetry, your research, your designs, your vacation, or your passion. You can do this.
