Community Management Teams (CMT's) have been formed to help identify and examine neighborhood problems and to develop strategies utilizing local resources. CMTs are generally comprised of the police supervisor, beat officers, block watch members, alderpersons, representatives of neighborhood based agencies, and any citizen who takes an active interest in neighborhood improvement. Participation in Management Teams is one way for concerned citizens to have a voice.
The Westville - West Hills Community Management Team meets on the second Wednesday of the month at the Mauro-Sheridan School cafeteria in Westville (191 Fountain St., enter/park in back off Emerson St.). All community members are welcome to attend meetings and discuss quality of life issues facing our neighborhoods and the city. The CMT also actively supports area Block Watches. If you are interested in starting or reactivating a community Block Watch e-mail westvillewesthillscmt@gmail.com.
