Coach T Memorial 5K Run for Youth
New Haven Age Group Track Club has been in existence for 48 years. On April 8,2023 we are hosting the Coach T Memorial 5K Run for Youth at Edgewood Park. This event is in honor of our beloved Coach William Thompson who passed away in 2014. He was a role model, true humanitarian and mentor to so many people.The Kids Fun Run will begin at 8:20 and the 5K Run/ Walk begins at 9:00. There's a bench and plaque dedicated to Coach Thompson at Bowen Field. The corner of Chapel Street and Ella Grasso Boulevard is named Coach William Thompson Way. This is a fun family event. The event will be held at Coogan Pavilion. Kids fun run is $10. 5k for 17 years old and younger $20 and 5K for 18yrs and older $25.
