Get ready for the 2023 Elm City LIT Fest: Literature of Hope! Join us for a day of hope and literacy on Saturday, September 9th, 2023 at the Dixwell QHouse & Stetson Branch Library (197 Dixwell Ave New Haven, CT 06511) from 11am to 5pm. As always we’re bringing dynamic panels, workshops, kid zone, performances and food trucks! Also featuring Westville author Rebekah Fraiser.
This year we partnered and collaborated with some amazing movers and shakers.
First, we are honored to partner with the Nh Dept. of Arts, Culture & Tourism to request nominations for the 1st ever Elm City Poet Laureate! Nominations will be open until Sunday, August 20th, 2023. The Elm City Poet Laureate will be announced at Elm City LIT Fest. Check out kulturallylit.org to learn more and nominate your favorite poet today!
Next, this year we are excited to partner with our family at the Jamaican American Connection to celebrate writers of the Caribbean.
Finally, Elm City LIT Fest is delighted to collaborate with the Popular Romance Fiction: the Literature of Hope Conference at Yale University to present Roxane Gay & Beverly Jenkins for a keynote address at the Yale Humanities Quadrangle
